The GIF kitchen ventilation ceiling is a complete wall-to-wall
solution, including large exhaust and supply air fields, lighting and
compensation surfaces with an installation height of only 200 mm. The
use of the ceiling cavity as a pressure chamber according to
VDI 2052 enables the implementation as an "open" and "closed" system,
whereby the largest possible proportion of air-technically active
areas always remains. The large-scale collection of frying, cooking
and other vapours as well as a large-area, low-turbulence supply air
supply guarantee a "feel-good climate" without condensation and
draughts. The unique modular system offers maximum transparency and
hygiene thanks to a fully reversible design.
The entire GIF kitchen ventilation ceiling is designed in a
surface-active, modular and adaptable cassette design and fulfils both
exhaust air functions above thermal units and supply air functions
outside the exhaust air areas. An installation height of only 200 mm
is required.
The heart of the modular system is the active cassette. The active
cassettes serve as aerosol separators on the exhaust air side in
accordance with VDI 2052 and EN 16282 and form a large exhaust air
field.
The active cassettes are manufactured exclusively in CNS 1.4301 and
achieve the highest separation efficiencies (up to 97%) due to the
lowest production tolerances. The outflow velocity above the active
cassette is so low (0.08m/s) that suspended particles that have not
been separated in the vapour separation chamber trickle down to the
cassette surface due to the inertia.
All active cassettes can be easily removed from the ceiling composite
by pulling and sliding the panels. This means that the GIF active
cassette ceiling can be removed almost completely (≈98%) from almost
any location and cleaned in any commercial dishwasher. This means that
it is not necessary to "climb" the kitchen appliances and ensures that
cleaning is always hygienically perfect.
The unique modular system offers maximum transparency and hygiene
thanks to a fully reversible design. On the supply air side, the GIF
active cassette ceiling is used for low-turbulence, large-area supply
air supply in accordance with the layered flow principle. An
energy-efficient solution is therefore standard. The special design
ensures an indirect supply air flow of even high air volumes with low
inlet velocities without an induction impulse. Since the active
cassettes are identical in the exhaust and supply air areas, they can
also be replaced as desired.
