Description:	Press-fit device for ceramic pins IWESA O-PC-SE-P used machine Press-fit device for ceramic pins in rotor shafts Principle: The ceramic pins are fed to a test station via a pneumatic hose by means of a vibrating conveying bowl, where the position of any single-sided bore is checked. This is done with an optical sensor. Wrongly positioned parts are conveyed through a pneumatic slide into a collection container. Pins that are correctly positioned are fed through another pneumatic hose to the separator of the press-fit tool. The actual press-fit process is also carried out pneumatically with a roller bearing guided punch. First, a manually adjustable pressure p1 is used to check that the pin is not pressed too easily into the shaft. With a pressure p2, which can also be adjusted manually, the pin is then pressed into the rotor shaft at full stop. A 5,000 N preloaded disc spring package prevents excessive force from being exerted on the pin and shaft. The rotor shaft must be manually inserted, removed and clamped by an operator.
