FOAMplus EZ100 foam packaging system was built in 2014 in Germany by
Storopack Deutschland GmbH + Co.KG. The machine is designed for the
production of lightweight and durable protective packaging that
effectively protect products during transport. These elements are
produced directly at the packaging station by using polyurethane foam.
STOROPACK FOAMplus produces the foam by mixing two chemical
components. The chemical components A” and B” are taken from the
barrels by means of two electric pumps and further transported by
flexible hoses to the dispenser. After application, the material
increases in volume by up to 250 times, precisely adapting to the
shape of the product to be protected. The operation of the machine is
managed by a microprocessor control system with an easy-to-read LCD
display, which is responsible for controlling the most important
parameters and ensuring safe operation. The FOAMplus EZ 100 foam
packaging machine weighs 100 kg.
The STOROPACK FOAMplus EZ-100 is fully complete and consists of the
following components:
1. Dosing system designed to take chemical materials ‘A’ and
‘B’ from the barrels to the polyurethane foam making system. It
consists of:
– volumetric pump with gear wheel
– electric motor
– pressure transformer
– pressure control valves
– pressure safety valves
– protective seal for chemical materials/ surroundings
2. Chemical line, that is, the flexible hoses by which chemical
materials A” and B” are transported from the dispensing system to
the polyurethane foam making system. It consists of:
– PCFE-based flexible hoses in an oxidised sheath
– heating by means of a heating strand in a robust material,
insulated in PCFE
– temperature measuring probe
3. Polyurethane foam making system designed to make foam by mixing
chemical materials ‘A’ and ‘B’. It consists of:
– self-cleaning mixing inserts
– valve-opening system for the mixing inserts with self-lubricating
system
– rotary tube connections
– oxidised steel filter
4. Control system, that is, all electrical and electronic equipment
designed to control and programming of the machine. It consists of:
– a backlit LCD display with 4 rows and 20 lines
– control board
– electrical switchboard in the centre of the machine: counter,
electrical supply, control card, motor and safety device
