Hydraulic Presses SMG DS 40

SMG DS 40 hydraulic press was built in 2000 in Germany by SMG Süddeutsche Maschinenbau GmbH. The machine, which is characterised by high reliability, is used in metal stamping and punching. The machining process is performed with a high press force of 40 tonnes, which, combined with a rigid body, ensures the manufacture of highly repeatable and perfectly precise parts. The parameters, i.e. the ram speed, the position of the work tables and the press force, are adjusted by means of a simple control based on limit switches. The SMG press weighs 4 tonnes.
