SMEC SL 4500 L CNC turning center was built in 2020 in South Korea by
SMEC CO., LTD. The machine is used for machining long workpieces with
a maximum diameter of 690 mm. The equipment, combined with the
extremely stable design, enables best-in-class turning efficiency and
precision. It consists of, among others, a reliable spindle whose
high-powered electric motor enables the versatile use of cutting
tools. All this is complemented by a FANUC CNC control with an
intuitive interface, in which advanced machining programmes are
created in just a few steps. The SL 4500L CNC lathe weighs 20000
kg.
