10BBL Brewery
Complete Brewery Consisting of :
10 Brl Brewhouse (Hot Liquor Tank, Mash Tun with Underback and
Kettle/Copper) built and installed by Johnson Brewery Designs in 2011.
The brew house is powered by immersion heaters and requires a 3 ph
(415v) electricity supply.
The Majority of brewery pipework is hard piped and integrated with
Brewhouse pumps, includes in-line hop seed filter, 10 Brl per hour
Heat Exchanger (previously operating on 11ºC well water) and able to
chill wort down to 18ºC
The Wort kettle is set up to use whole hops
Grist Case. 350 kg capacity with 8m x 4” auger tube ( 2 tonne per
hour) feeding to grist hydrator.
Typical mashing in time 12min to 14min
HWT: Gross Capacity 2,500, Temperature controlled with recirculation
pump. 2 x 12 kW Immersion elements. Top manway access for additions.
Overflow Pipe.
Mash Tun: Maximum Grist capacity 500 kg. Wedge Wire Mash tun plates in
four quarters. Rotating Sparge Arms. Vorlauf facility
Underback: (also doubles as CIP dosing tank)). Gross Capacity 150 l.

Copper: Gross Capacity 2, 500l, 3 x 18kE immersion heaters
independently controlled and with immersion protection fitted. 150mm
flue with condense trap. Top manway for additions. Hop retaining plate
for use with whole hops. Sample port.
Control Panel
The brewery has a Control Panel operating the Brewhouse auger pumps,
heaters (HLT Temperature control and FV Temperature control
systems.
Fermenting Room
Three of. 10 Brl Traditional open topped Fermenting Vessels, Gross
Volume 2,220 litre. The vessels are fitted with hinged polypropylene
lids, 1/3, 2/3 incorporating CIP spray ball. Automated cooling on
individual vessels is by means of a Fermenting Room Control Panel and
circulating glycol ring main
