ESAB EAGLE 2000 plasma cutting machine was built in 2009 in Germany.
The machine is designed for machining stainless steel, structural
steel, low-alloy steel and aluminium with a maximum thickness of 30 mm
and has a very stable and vibration-free welded construction.
Excellent cutting precision with simultaneous low operating costs is
ensured by the ESAB Precision Plasmarc 201 plasma source with a power
of 200 A, which generates a narrow plasma beam with high energy
density per small area of material.
The plasma cutting machine portal was fixed by two dynamic servo
drives operating with low backlash on the machined profile rails (X
axis). The dynamic servo drive in the transverse carriage drives the
spur gear, which then meshes with the toothed bar of the machine
portal, causing transverse movement (Y axis). The plasma cutting
machine is equipped with an ESAB CNC control with the latest
solid-state technology to control all travel axes and functions of the
machine. The control panel can be mounted both on the portal and
within the operating area of the cutting machine. The total weight of
the machine is approximately 550 kg.
