The Section Mill was commissioned in 2011 including advanced rolling mill mechanical equipment alongside electrics and automation systems utilizing Siemens-brand technology. The rolling reutilized a minor portion of the equipment of the previous rolling mill standing there. Those are the finishing mill stands, the high-speed shear before cooling bed and finishing cold shear. Designed for a production capacity of 600,000 tons per year, the rolling mill can process either billets, blooms, or beam blanks into a wide mix of beams, sections, and flat bars.
