3-Strand Billet Caster (160×160 mm)
This 2008 Danieli Centro Met 3-strand curved continuous caster is a
high-yield production unit recently upgraded to cast 160×160 mm
billets at a capacity of 530,000 tons per year. Operating on a 7-meter
machine radius, it is equipped with extended 1,000mm moulds featuring
electromagnetic stirring (M-EMS), advanced secondary cooling zones,
and an integrated oxy-cutting system for precise billet sizing.
