CROWN MACHINERY R-LTDA adhesive coating line was built in 2012 in
Taiwan by Crown Machinery Co., Ltd. (Crowntex). The machine, designed
to coat different types of surfaces with adhesive, is an excellent
choice for the serial production of, among others, adhesive tapes,
labels and patches. This is because it supports a wide range of
water-based as well as solvent-based adhesives with varying degrees of
viscosity. Acrylic, synthetic rubber or natural rubber can also be
used for the adhesive layer. Thanks to its high flexibility, the CROWN
MACHINERY adhesive coating machine can also be used in research for
the development of new types of coatings.
Media such as paper, films (PP and PE) or textiles are coated by means
of state-of-the-art work heads. The material is fed on 530 mm wide
rollers, which allow the operating speed and tensile force to be
precisely adjusted to suit the individual properties of the material.
A specially designed oven with four heating zones, in turn, ensures
even drying of the media while saving energy at the same time. A data
acquisition and analysis system (SCADA) collects all key process
information, enabling full control of the production flow and seamless
integration with the other machines in the line. The R-LTDA coating
machine weighs 22 tonnes.
