3000 B CNC circular saw blade grinding machine was built in 2023 in
Poland. The brand-new machine, equipped with intuitive software and a
CNC controller with memory for 128 programmes, is used to sharpen the
following types of circular saws, mainly used in the furniture
industry for cutting laminated chipboard:
– flat circular saws (GM)
– alternately mitre circular saws (GS)
– trapezoidal circular saws (GB)
– trapezoidal-flat circular saws (GA)
The 3000 B CNC circular saw sharpener allows for grinding tooth rake
angles and tooth face angles in a single pass without removing the saw
blade. The grinding wheel arrives at the tooth plane at two feed
speeds – the slower feed increases grinding precision, while the
faster one reduces sharpening time by up to half. To ensure precise
feeding of the tooth under the grinding wheel, a claw feeder is used,
which prevents the grinding wheel from colliding with a saw blade with
different tooth spacing, which is particularly important in the case
of reconditioned saws.
During machining, the saw blade is held firmly in place by a brake
assisted by a pneumatic cylinder, which releases the pressure for the
feeding of the next tooth. In this way, the circular saw blade does
not move during sharpening and is completely locked in place, ensuring
excellent machining quality. In addition to sharpening rake angles and
tooth contact angles, the machine also allows trapezoidal teeth to be
ground on both sides in one pass, thanks to the use of a swivel head
with automatic 45° rotation in both directions.
The circular saw blade grinding machine has a full housing, which
prevents splashing of coolant along with swarf outside the machine’s
working area. At the end of the process, the coolant pump and grinding
wheel are switched off automatically, guaranteeing low electricity

operation.
Example of sharpening time for a 350 mm diameter saw with 96 teeth:
