WWM TS 560/8-1 wire drawing machine was built in 2014 in Italy by WWM
Technology Srl (now EJP Italmec Sp. z o.o.). The machine is used in
the process of reducing the diameter of various types of wire by
pulling it through a series of rollers. Once reduced to the
appropriate diameter, the wire is confectioned directly onto a
carousel or stand.
The wire drawing line consists of the following machines:
1. WWM TS 560/8-1 wire drawing machine
2. WWM SV5 vertical static wire pay-off
3. WWM DSM 01 mechanical descaler
4. WWM AF 1000 wire coiler
Wire feeding precision is ensured by the WWM wire pay-off, which
consists of two tilting drums and a central column. It enables easy
loading of material coils weighing a maximum of 3000 kg each, without
stopping the drawing machine. During threading, the sheave and basket
are lowered by a hoist with AC motor. The scale on the entire surface
of the wire is also broken off during machining. Once the rod has been
bent in four planes, a nozzle located in front of the press removes
the scale with compressed air. The press then pushes commercial steel
wool against on the rod surface through a double series of
interpenetrating blades.
