TRUMPF TruPunch 3000-1300 (S11) punching machine was built in Germany in 2013. The reliable machine with extensive equipment and modern components offers its user unparalleled precision and accuracy in machining both thick and thin sheet metal. In addition to standard punching and marking, the punching machine also allows fast grooving, surface embossing, forming and chipless threading in stainless steel, structural steel and aluminium.

On the machine’s sturdy and welded C” shaped structure, sits a specially designed brush table with integrated balls, designed to facilitate the loading and unloading of workpieces. The use of this type of table prevents scratches and nicks from appearing on the surface of the sheet, which results in a significant increase in the quality of the machining. During the entire production process, the sheet is held rigidly by hydraulic clamps fixed to the table.

The workpiece is fed under the machining station of the TRUMPF punching machine along coordinate guides consisting of ground and hardened transverse and longitudinal rails, where it is machined with a maximum force of 18 tonnes by an electric punching head. The head picks up tools from a linear magazine in which up to 180 tools of all sizes and types are stored in a rotary, single-station chuck. The universal chuck with hydraulic clamping guarantees exact, central alignment of punch and die and rotates all tools to any angle, even when positioning the sheet.

The TruPunch 3000 punching machine is controlled via a BOSCH MTX CMP70 CNC controller with extended programming function and touch panel, allowing simple management of NC programmes and setting plans. All technological data is presented clearly in the form of integrated tables with the possibility to change it during the work performed. In order to reduce electricity consumption, all machine mechanisms except the controller are switched off during downtime and at the end of a programme or production plan.
