Combined Cycle CHP Power Plant 12.5 MWe + 3.3 MW Chilled Water
The plant consists of One Dual Fuel Solar Turbine Mars 100 with HRSG,
Siemens SST 060 Back Pressure Steam Turbine and two units of Double
Acting LS Absorption Chiller with electrical, mechanical and control
auxiliaries. Plant is maintained according to manufacturer’s
instruction. Gas turbine engine was changed to new in June 2023 and it
accumulated only about 16000 hours since new. Both the gas turbine and
the steam turbine were last overhauled by OEM service in mid-2025 and
thus equipment is in good operational condition.
This combined cycle CHP (trigeneration) plant delivers 10 MWe of
primary electrical output from a Solar Turbines Mars 100 dual-fuel gas
turbine, with an additional 2.5 MWe from a Siemens SST 060
back-pressure steam turbine and 3.3 MWth of chilled water from two LS
double-effect absorption chillers. The total combined electrical
capacity is 12.5 MWe.
The turbine exhaust feeds a Descon water-tube HRSG with supplementary
duct burner, producing up to 30 tons/h of superheated steam at 42 bar
and 255°C. Steam drives the Siemens back-pressure turbine (year
2012), with exhaust steam at 7–9 bar feeding the absorption chillers
for process cooling. The plant includes a fuel gas booster compression
system, a nearly new GEA diesel fuel purifiers (year 2023), and a
comprehensive inventory of original spare parts for all major
components.
