top-driven agitator. The boiling vapours are extracted by a kettle fan
into a vapour condensation pipe fitted with Lechler nozzles. The
kettle also features a CIP spray head and a digital thermometer. 2.
Mashing and lauter tun, insulated, with a continuously adjustable
rake, inlets and outlets for wort and thick mash, spent grain flap,
lauter floor (designed as a slotted screen floor), mash/wort pump and
digital thermometer. Cleaning nozzles are fitted for internal cleaning
and rinsing. For hot trub separation, the vessel also features a
tangentially fed whirlpool nozzle. 3. Control cabinet with control
panel 4. Various pipework, valves and sensors. The system is equipped
with a two-stage plate heat exchanger for wort cooling at 1,000 l/h
and a wort aeration device. In addition, a 20-hectolitre insulated
stainless-steel tank with a heating jacket and a booster pump is
