Functions
The brochure is retrieved via a potential-free contact
(electronic).
As soon as the cutting process of the knife shaft is completed, the
trigger roller, controlled by a magnetic clutch and K51226268 brake,
is started electronically. The knife shaft rotates until the next
print mark is detected on the paper web and is stopped. In the
meantime, the knife of the rotary knife shaft cuts the stopped
brochure section exactly to the preset length.
The knife shaft is driven 1:1 synchronously from the cartoning
machine. The brochure extraction is controlled by the slitting
machine.
The brochure, cut to length, is then folded in the 4- or 6-pocket
folding unit and then passes into the transfer of the cartoning
machine.
