Overview This Krones Linatronic M is an empty bottle inspector for glass bottles, built in 2018. It inspects every empty container before filling and rejects any container that fails one of the inspection stages. The machine combines camera-based base, sealing surface, screw thread and sidewall inspection with high-frequency and infrared residual liquid and caustic detection. Two sidewall modules with four mirror assemblies and four cameras provide a compact full-front view of the container, and the DualFlash neck finish lighting inspects the outer and inner sealing surface separately using two minimally offset lighting angles. It cleans and de-labels empty bottles before filling: bottles are pushed into carrier-basket cells, run on heavy roller chains through a pre-soak, two pre-warming baths, the main caustic soak with under- and over-caustic label flushing, and three water spray zones, then handed back onto the bottle conveyor at discharge.
