GERBER Cutter Z7 automatic cutting machine was built in 2016 in China
by Gerber Technology (Lectra). The machine is used in the production
of clothing and all sewing products. It can cut both single and
multi-layered fabrics with a maximum thickness of 7.2 cm (after
compression). Cutting is performed by means of a robust, vertical
oscillating knife, which ensures the highest cutting precision and
shape repeatability regardless of the type of material. The advanced
Knife Intelligence Plus” system controls the movement of the knife,
changing its angle, cutting path and acceleration in real time to
ensure precise cutting of repeatable parts for all layers every time.
Cutting paths are additionally optimised by the SMARTbite system,
which automatically adjusts the knife advance speed based on the
height and type of overlap.
The oscillating knife is continuously sharpened during cutting, which
minimises the number of undercut lines and ensures excellent cut
quality while maintaining high productivity. It is also cooled to
prevent the hot knife from melting the material. The work surface of
the cutting machine consists of brushes that eliminate the risk of
surface damage during cutting. The GERBER Z7 Cutter is controlled from
an industrial controller with a Windows operating system and an
interactive interface that provides information about the cut and its
progress during operation. An advanced diagnostic system and proven
components increase the reliability of the operation over many years
of use.
Together with the machine, the ALLCOMP AERO MAXIMA 200-120-200
spreading machine cooperates. This device is designed to spread the
material on the working table. The components used with excellent
technical parameters ensure long and uninterrupted operation of the
machine. These include an automatic knife sharpening system and
special sensors ensuring even fabric edge positioning. All this makes
