Overview This KHS Innoclean single-end bottle washer for returnable glass bottles was built in 2007. It cleans and de-labels empty bottles before filling: bottles are pushed into carrier-basket cells, run on heavy roller chains through a pre-soak, two pre-warming baths, the main caustic soak with under- and over-caustic label flushing, and three water spray zones, then handed back onto the bottle conveyor at discharge. Nineteen bottles run across the machine width in 4,275 cells; output range and design output are given below under Technical data. At design output, total dwell time is 18.7 minutes, including 10.8 minutes of caustic contact.
