BERNARDO Super 180 universal lathe was built in Austria by PWA
Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H. The machine on offer is an excellent choice
for both unit and small batch production. It is capable of performing
operations such as turning cylindrical, conical and end faces, as well
as cutting metric and inch threads. Workpieces with a maximum diameter
of 506 mm and a length of 1000 mm are machined by means of a reliable
spindle, rotating within a range from 45 rpm to 1800 rpm. As many as
16 spindle speed adjustment stages enable precise adjustment of the
cutting speed to the type of workpiece and the type of machining. The
BERNARDO Super 180 also offers a wide range of longitudinal and
transverse feeds. The installed digital readouts further enhance
operator comfort. All this is complemented by an extremely rigid bed
that perfectly dampens any vibrations and ensures maximum process
stability during even the most intensive challenges. The BERNARDO
conventional lathe weighs approximately 780 kg.
