10x Speidel Generator Junction Box, used
The Speidel generator junction box is a central distribution box
within a photovoltaic system.
In it, the individual strings (series connections of solar modules)
are brought together and bundled and forwarded to the inverter.
The Speidel generator junction box performs the following tasks:
- Bundling of strings: Several PV strings are brought together in a
common housing before they are routed on to the inverter.
- Surge protection: Integrated protective devices (depending on the
version) protect the system from voltage peaks, such as lightning
strikes nearby.
- Separation and protection: Built-in fuses or separation elements can
be used to safely isolate individual strings from the rest of the
system in the event of service, without having to shut down the entire
system.
- Weather protection: The robust housing reliably protects the
connection and protection technology from moisture, dust and other
environmental influences – even when installed outdoors.
- Clear maintenance: The central consolidation of all strings in one
place makes troubleshooting and maintenance of the system much easier.
This makes the junction box an important link between the PV modules
and the inverter and contributes to the safety, clarity and durability
of the entire solar system.
