The shears are characterized by a solid, rigid construction and high reliability. The cutting edges of the shears are made of high quality tool steel and are hardened.
The main part of the shears is the welded stand, in which the guide surface for the ram is machined. The vertical movement of the ram is derived from the eccentric shaft by means of a connecting rod and pin. The shearing force is exerted by a hand lever pressed onto the end of the eccentric shaft. The shears require almost no maintenance, only occasional lubrication of the sliding E4661673 points with a lubricating press and sharpening of the blades after they have become dull. The knives on the shears can be sharpened repeatedly.
