The ROTOTEMP 1,5 is a scraped surface heat exchanger for cooling or
heating various products, with a heat exchange surface of 1,5 m2. The
heat exchanger consists of a jacketed outside cylinder and a jacketed
internal cylinder. The outside jacket is insulated and finished with
stainless steel sheeting. The product space is located between the two
cylinders. A rotating cage with scrapers is fitted in the product
space. The scrapers ensure proper mixing during the tempering process.
Because the cylinders are scraped continuously, it is possible to cool
crystallizing products without a product layer building on the walls.
It is also possible to heat products without the danger of sticking to
the walls. Thanks to these characteristics and the design of the
installation, it is also possible to accurately perform heat exchange
