Component size:
Length 1700 x Width 1050 x Height 1050 mm
Printing method:
The patented VFGF (Variable Fused Granulate Fabrication) technology is
a further development of pellet 3D printing with variable nozzle
opening. It prints in high resolution only where necessary, for
example on visible surfaces, and efficiently fills inner areas with
thicker webs. In this way, VFGF combines the advantages of FDM (Fused
Desposition Modeling) for fine details and complex geometries with
those of granulate printing (high application rates, material variety,
lower costs). Intelligent algorithms ensure the right amount of
material in the right place at all times, even for complex shapes with
overhangs or support structures.
Areas of application:
For prototypes, individual parts, small series and also for higher
quantities. By melting in a specially developed screw extruder, high
throughputs are achieved, which significantly reduces the printing
time.
For example, in industries such as aerospace as well as mechanical
engineering and the automotive industry.
Pros:
Components with unlimited shape complexity and a high surface quality
can be produced. The process achieves shorter printing times and
significantly lower material costs compared to filament 3D printing.
This opens up the possibility of using large-format 3D printing
economically in production for the first time.
