MAX-MIX MM-500 mixing, dispersion, emulsion and homogenisation system.
The MAX-MIX processor is a multifunctional piece of equipment ideal
for manufacturing liquid and viscous products that require dispersion,
homogenisation and emulsion stages (in both solid/liquid and
liquid/liquid processes) and that also require a complete deaeration,
which is possible thanks to the internal vacuum circuit.
The process can also include the heating or cooling of the products
during their manufacture, the addition of solids and liquids in vacuum
conditions, and the recirculation and discharge by positive
displacement without external aid.
The MAX-MIX allows the preparation of finely dispersed pastes with
particle sizes down to 15 microns, and microemulsions down to 1 micron
using the MCH-5 () horizontal colloid mill located at the bottom.
The MAX-MIX MM-500 is equipped with a cylindrical mixing tank made of
AISI-316 stainless steel with a truncated-cone bottom, an effective
capacity of 500 litres and a total volume of 700 litres. It is able to
work with vacuum. The tank also has a half-round coil-style double
jacket for heating or cooling which is designed to operate at maximum
pressure of 2 bar.
The tank is fitted with two agitation systems:
− Slow agitation: an anchor impeller driven by a 3 HP H51249930
gear motor with variable frequency drive (0-50 RPM).
− Fast agitation: a Cowles impeller in the central area of the tank
driven by a 40 HP motor with adjustable speed from 0 to 2,000 RPM.
The MAX-MIX also has a recirculation system that allows the product to
pass through the MCH-5 colloidal mill (), the incorporation of
additives into the process by means of vacuum and the discharge of the
final product.
() IMPORTANT: This MAX-MIX mixer is sold without the colloid mill
MCH-5 that would be located at the bottom, which can be purchased
directly from the manufacturer. The quotation for this equipment will
refer to its current state and will not include the MCH-5 colloid
mill.
