function of the hardness concept is based on a settled on the test
piece nose cone's mounted a turret with up to 8 positions.
The desired hardness test method can be choiceed conveniently on the
large touch screen monitor by means of Visual, intuitive user
interface (control and evaluation software IMPRESSIONS. Now, the
operator presses START and starts the automated testing:
-automatically the turret swivels the correct Indentor / lens
-using search drive, the specimen surface is contacted and focused
(Vickers / Brinell)
-now the impression generated power-regulated
-then the integrated image analysis software automatically evaluates
the impression of hardness
-the test software IMPRESSIONS shows the Vickers hardness value /

The stable linear actuator (lowering off nose cone) of the NEMESIS
ensures an exact test load applied of the penetrator at the desired
position.
For exact test repositioning is an optional laser pointer available
