The Alfa Laval SRU6/260/LS is a robust positive displacement lobe pump
designed for the gentle and efficient handling of sensitive process
fluids. Engineered in accordance with the most stringent hygienic
design standards, the pump features fully validated and effective
Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) capability. The SRU pump range is suitable for
applications across the dairy, food, beverage, brewing, chemical,
pharmaceutical, and home and personal care industries. Its smooth,
low-shear pumping principle allows for the handling of products with a
wide range of viscosities—from low to very high—including creams,
gels, emulsions, aerated mixtures, and media containing delicate cells
or organic solids in suspension. Products containing fragile solids,
such as curd, can be transferred without damage due to the specially
designed tri-lobe stainless steel rotors. The pump has a nominal
displacement of 2.60 litres per revolution and a maximum nominal
capacity of 93.6 m³/h. Both the inlet and outlet connections are
DN100 (4). The maximum allowable product pressure is 10 bar, with a
maximum pump speed of 600 rpm. The maximum permissible spherical solid
size is 18 mm. The unit was previously operated in a dairy processing
environment for product transfer. It is currently equipped with an 11
kW motor (1.460 rpm, 380/415 V, 50 Hz, 22,5 A). The pump speed is
reduced to 472 rpm, resulting in an operating capacity of
approximately 70 m³/h. The pump and motor are mounted on a stainless
