Tetra Pak Tetra Therm Aseptic Visco Line for pasteurisation / sterilization of concentrated beverage bases by a Tubular Heat Exchanger (THE) system. Capacity 2.600 up to 8.150 liter per hour. At the current plant the line is used for products up to 100 °C. The indirect heating temperature is up to a maximum of 135 °C. Holding time set at 0 / 5 / 10 seconds. CIP Cleanable., In the Tetra Therm Aseptic Visco system, heating and cooling will take place in Tetra Spiraflo MTC tubular heat exchangers. Modules with a narrow ring section are used for heating and cooling to ensure optimal heat transfer. The product is pre-heated in stages within the Spiraflo tubular heat exchangers. The Spiraflo tubular heat exchanger is equipped with a sliding O-ring system. This means that the product and the outer tubes are not welded together. This prevents stress corrosion cracking and minimizes maintenance costs., The Tetra system is pre-sterilized with hot water before production begins. Separation of product and media during start-up and shutdown of the system is done by a Brix measurement system. Once the system is ready for production, the product flows to the product pump, which pumps it through the pre-heating section to the first high-pressure non aseptic homogenizer. This unit then forces it through the heater, via the holding tube (0/5/10 seconds) and the pre-cooler, into the second aseptic homogenizer (± 60 °C). The homogenization temperature is automatically controlled in both cases. Since the capacity is flexible, adjustment to the required output is achieved via corresponding control loops using frequency converters in the respective units.
