STIGAL VXstandard plasma-gas cutting machine was built in 2013 in
Poland by STIGAL Marcin Stępień. The machine is used for the precise
cutting of large-size sheet metal with a maximum length of 7 metres
and a width of 2 metres. The use of both a gas and a plasma torch
allows the cutting method to be adapted to current production
requirements. The plasma arc is generated by a high-performance CEBORA
PLASMA PROF 254 source, which minimises spatter during operation and
reduces the need for additional machining of the finished parts. These
features make the STIGAL VXstandard suitable for the production of
precise steel components used across various industrial sectors.
The machine features a stable, open design that provides free access
to the work area from all sides. Outside the main work area is a
attachment designed for tube machining. All process parameters are
programmed using an intuitive CNC controller with access to a range of
useful functions. The equipment is complemented by CAD/CAM software
with a NESTING function, which optimises material utilisation by
appropriately arranging shapes on the surface of a sheet of metal.
This solution helps to reduce waste and use material more efficiently.
The VX standard plasma-gas cutting machine weighs approximately 2500
kg.
