The heavy duty lathe Seiger SLZ 1200 x 3000 is equipped with a Siemens Sinumerik 810D cycle control (Teach-In). The machine was most recently used as a faceplate and frontal lathe and therefore operated without a tailstock and without steady rests. However, the machine can still be structurally equipped with appropriate steady rests or a tailstock and used for classic center work.

Configuration with AC main drive, large faceplate, hydraulic unit, separate control cabinet, and 2 chip conveyors.

The machine was most recently used as a faceplate or frontal lathe. Therefore, neither a tailstock nor steady rests are currently available. The machine is particularly suitable for machining large disc, ring, and flange workpieces. A later retrofit for use between centers is fundamentally possible.
