This Wärtsilä 18V32DF diesel generator set was originally supplied by Wärtsilä Finland in 2009 as a dual-fuel (DF) power generation unit. However, the plant was delivered without the equipment necessary for operation on gaseous fuels and has operated exclusively on Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO).
The generating set is powered by a Wärtsilä 18V32DF medium-speed engine coupled to a Leroy-Somer LSA 58 alternator, designed for 11 kV, 50 Hz electricity generation. The engine has accumulated approximately 42,000 operating hours.
