Reel structure and function
The reel consists of a solid structure of electro-welded and machined
elements. The expanding mandrel can unwind to the left and to the
right. Spreading is performed hydraulically via operating elements
from the control panel. The reel is equipped with a three-phase motor
with which the reel crown can be wound and unwound in set-up mode. In
automatic mode, it can be unwound either via the preset pressure or
via the continuous winding control.
Control description
The reel is driven by a frequency-controlled three-phase motor. The
loop control between the reel and the following machine is controlled
contact-free by an ultrasonic sensor. The analogue control ensures
smooth, continuous operation of the reel. All system functions can be
operated in set-up and automatic mode.
Pneumatic pressure arm
The pressure arm, which presses on the sheet coil with an adjustable
force, enables safe, UVV-compliant cutting of the strapping. In
addition, the sheet metal can be easily fed into the downstream
machine without layers unwinding on their own. The arm is mounted
directly on the coiler head.
Hydraulic pressure arm with hydraulic pressure roller drive
The hydraulic pressure arm is equipped with Vulcollan-coated rollers
and can be moved horizontally across the entire coil width using a
hand crank. The pressure arm, which presses on the sheet metal coil
with an adjustable force, enables safe, UVV-compliant cutting of the
strapping. In addition, the sheet metal can be easily fed into the
downstream machine without layers unwinding on their own. The arm is
mounted directly on the decoiler head. Thick strip materials can be
easily fed into the leveller with the help of the pressure roller
drive.

Straightener description:
The straightener is frequency-controlled and infinitely variable. The
loop control between the leveller and the roller feed is controlled
contact-free by an ultrasonic sensor. The analogue control ensures
smooth, continuous operation of the straightener. All system functions
can be operated in set-up and automatic mode. The control of the HS
leveller is integrated into the overall control of the system.

Design and function:
The coil turner is made of solid electro-welded and machined steel
plates.

annealed to avoid distortion. Coils can be removed from the pallet.
The suspension of the turning device is realised with generously
dimensioned ball bearings, exactly in the centre of gravity of the
turning device. The mechanical load is therefore very low. Thanks to
the use of non-return valves and the hydraulic circuit specially
designed for the turning device, it is possible to stop the coil in
any position from 0-90°. For the placement of several narrow coils,
the movable staking bars can be inserted depending on the number of
coils. If the coil turner is integrated into a complete system, coils
with different outer diameters can be adapted to the coiler mandrel
height using the coil lifting device
