It was originally operated vertically as a downpipe furnace. A horizon-wide use is of course also possible. The structure is clear: It is a nearly 6m long truss-like frame, on which six oven case elements are attached. These are hinged and inside runs the almost 6m long pipe made of Kanthal APM.
