The used Fraunhofer sorting system from 2007 is ideal for removing bad
parts from bulk materials such as dry and shredded plants. The system
uses a color-capable line camera that scans 20 million pixels per
second. This enables precise detection with a conveyor belt width of
500 mm and a speed of 2.5 m/s, with 16 pixels per mm² being recorded.
The continuous display of the bulk material image shows color-coded
bad parts, and the system is intuitive to operate. Defective parts are
blown out approx. 100 mm F6150968 behind the measuring line using air
nozzles. In 2019, the system was optimized by replacing the camera,
control cabinet and valve block. The system has an output of approx.
60 to 160 kg per hour, depending on the product.
